Community Projects

Cricklepit is now running as a commercial company. We also run Cricklepit media LTD which is a registered not for profit social enterprise. This allows us to be more flexible in the delivery of our community projects. Within both companies we have clear social objectives. This is reflected in the fact that Cricklepit works with the local community in a number of ways. We help give training and opportunities to vulnerable people, and work to record and celebrate events in the community which support disadvantaged groups.

"The Project included a series of workshops working with Young People to produce short films celebrating community achievement. Communication throughout has been excellent, their professionalism and assistance in the staging of the event at the Barnfield theatre was very much appreciated"

Olive George - Devon Community Foundation

At Cricklepit we open the door to those with challenging histories and offer them a chance to change the way they see themselves and their place in the world.
We run workshops in which young people learn the skills to make films, soundtracks and photography. Within this we help develop their confidence and motivation. If someone shows that they have both ability and determination, we will offer them opportunities to be involved in commercial projects.

"Cricklepit Media worked on a short film for Taunton Association for the Homeless (TAH), highlighting the problems faced by rough sleepers. They were heavily involved from the very early 'ideas' stage, through storyboarding the film, doing the filming itself (having run some short workshops for homeless people who then helped with the filming) through to editing and delivering a final product. We were delighted with the film and with Cricklepit's performance, reliability and professionalism throughout. They were a pleasure to work with." John Shipley - Chief Executive - Taunton Association for the Homeless

Cricklepit has worked on a variety of projects from the Respect Festival which encourages equality, to the Venture Trust which helps young people escape damaging patterns in their lives.
Our services can be used by the groups who make these events happen, as promotion, for raising awareness and as a record to show progress and achievement. They can also be used to engage their own client groups in the production.
If you are part of a community project and want it recorded, contact us, or drop in to discuss it.
